What is mentoring?
Mentoring is where one person shares their expertise and knowledge to support the professional development of another, through one-to-one sessions.
What can you expect from our mentoring service?
Our mentors will guide you throughout the whole process of preparing a H2020 project proposal. They will provide practical advice and recommendations based on their own experiences. They do so in the interest of advancing science and Valencia’s contribution to it. Under no circumstances will they be held responsible for the success or failure of your proposal. Mentors will not issue pre-evaluation reports or manage the search for partners. If you require these services, please consult other sections of this website. One of RUVID’s international research programme consultants will oversee the entire process and ensure the quality of the mentoring service received.
Who are our mentors?
Our mentors are fellow researchers selected for their experience in EU Framework Programmes and trained for this purpose. All mentors sign a confidentiality agreement.
Can you be a mentee?
This service is aimed at active research personnel at affiliated universities with a Horizon 2020 Excellent Science-friendly idea for a project. If you are the coordinator for a wouldbe project under any H2020 call, you are also eligible. Your idea must reach us between three and five months before the call deadline.
Why be a mentee?
As a mentee you will receive tailored advice from a fellow researcher who has already taken part in at least one successful EU-funded project. Your personally-assigned mentor will provide a fresh perspective, challenging feedback and valuable pointers. Your motivation and confidence levels will be at an all time high and your proposal will almost certainly feel the benefit.
